Chicken trò chơi was released in 2015 as a part of Clash of Rebellions, & it was banned in March 2016. This brings up the question, “Why is Chicken trò chơi Banned?”

What is a Chicken Game?

Chicken trò chơi gets its name from a trò chơi of chicken which has its roots in oto racing và game theory. Two cars drive towards each other which will result in a collision. Both drivers have the ability khổng lồ swerve out of the way which will over up in the swerver lớn be declared the chicken or coward. It is a tie if they both swerve out of the way, or if they both crash into each other then they are both injured or dead.

What does Chicken game do?

*

The thẻ Chicken trò chơi is actually a good model of a trò chơi of chicken. Chicken game is a field spell that allows both players to bởi one of three actions each resulting in paying 1000 life points. The effect can also only be activated in the main phase. Then on đứng đầu of all of this nothing can be played in response to lớn this card. Despite all of this, the lowest life points player takes no damage.

The first action is drawing one card which is the driving forward in the chicken game. The section kích hoạt is giving your opponent 1000 life points which are also driving forward but letting your opponent drive forward longer. The last action is destroying the thẻ which is the player swerving lớn safety.

Why did Chicken Game vì chưng to be banned?

This is not as cut and dry as you might think. The card has two troubling effects. The draw one effect is already pretty good, và only paying 1000 life points is a fair trade off. However, this is bad when combined with the lowest life point player not taking damage. The card always puts the other player in a weird spot where they have lớn make a choice between destroying this card or not. The thẻ is also not a hard once per turn which can give you a lot of draw.

Chicken trò chơi was also a part of a couple of FTKs in combination with Life Equalizer. The thẻ became kind of a main stay in FTK decks for a bit, & I think that is what did this card in.

Can Chicken game be Unbanned?

I think so. Chicken trò chơi is a thẻ that is so interesting in play, and brings out a lot of really cool interactions. Also I think Konami could realize that this isn’t a problem card, but is instead used by problem cards. For example, the OCG ban list has this card at three despite it being banned in the TCG. I personally want the card at one, and think it actually makes the trò chơi more interesting.

If you want khổng lồ hear about more cards that enabled FTKs then may I suggest this article on Butterfly Dagger – Elma.
